It may not look like I'm working on my new Halloween book for next year, but I am! I don't have my fabric yet, but I have to get all of the projects designed, the book written, and everything ready so that when I do get my fabric, I can hurry up and make everything, photograph it all, and get the book to the printer! Phew! How twisted is that?
So, I thought I would give you a sneak peek at one of the projects for the book. It's for my new Halloween fabric line for 2014, called Boppity Boo! I need to make sure the design is going to work, so I test all of them on fabric I just have stashed in the corners, in closets, wherever they magically appear from. I think the majority of these fabrics are from Whimsical's line, called Buttons & Blooms. How could my design NOT look good in those fabrics. Too cute!
I am really liking this apron. I wanted to make one that would be useful for Halloween night, like when you're piddling around the house, but then there's a knock on the door every 30 seconds from another cute, little monster. So, the brown fabric, with the rickrack at the top, is actually three different pockets. I made sure they were just the right size for a notepad (a good place to write down your spells), or a magic wand. Then the three pleated pockets on the front are just right for all of the eye of newt, toad warts, and all of that disgusting stuff, OR all of that yummy chocolate candy you will be handing out that evening... one for you, one for me. One for you, one for me. I think that's how it works :o) So watch for this apron to be in fun Halloween colors soon!
Now, seeing as how my magic wand will not magically make the finished book appear, I better get back to work!
